Abstracts must be of no more than 200 words including Objective, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusion. All submissions must be submitted via email in MS Word format. Applicants must be the primary authors of the original project.
Full names must be submitted by all co-authors of the paper
A previous relevant presentation at a recent scientific meeting/ publication of this abstract shall not inevitably preclude the entrant'(s) but must be declared"
SUBMISSION REGULATIONS
I. The John Glyn Prize is awarded for an audit project undertaken during training. Entries are welcomed from trainees from any Medical, Dental, Veterinary, hospital or primary care specialty (under the age of 40). Entries accepted will be from trainees within the tenth anniversary of the date of their primary professional qualification. We welcome entries from non-RSM trainees
II. We reserve the right to extend the submission deadline to a later date should the necessity arise
III. Entrants must indicate a 'principal' author on their initial submission form who must be the presenter of the work if the entry is successful. Principal authors must have done at least 50% of the work.
IV. Abstracts of no more than 200 words including Objective, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusion must be submitted. More than one abstract per 'principal' author is allowed

Clinical Neurosciences Section President's prize

Prize: £300
Open To: Trainees in all areas of clinical neurosciences, including neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, neuropathology or neuroradiology.
Please submit a one A4 page (up to 250 words) summary of a clinical paper on an interesting case or case series. Please ensure your abstract is anonymous - i.e. your name and the name of the institution are not mentioned or included in the text. A maximum of five papers will be selected for oral presentation at the meeting. Presentations will be 10 minutes long followed by a 5-minute discussion. A panel of judges will determine the best presentation and the President's Prize of will be awarded at the end of the meeting.

Surgery Section Adrian Tanner Prize
Submission Deadline: 20 April 2012
Meeting Date: 8 June 2012
Prize: £250
Open To: All surgical trainees
Clinical case reports should be submitted for this prize. Short listed candidates will be expected to present their papers at the President's Day at the Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
The report should indicate the multidisciplinary nature of the care of a surgical patient and should be not more than 500 words with a maximum of 5 references.
Abstracts previously presented at another meeting should be declared.
